Unfortunately, we didnt get to go on the tour. The only information we were given vague meeting info. All that we were told was to meet at Union Station at 945am for a departure time of 10am. Union Station is very large and there are many bus locations. We went to the area of the "coach buses" and there were over two dozen buses. None of them were labeled. This was not organized well at all! Asked MULTIPLE employees for assistance, no one was familiar with the tour. Very hesitant to use Gold Star again, the tickets were not cheap.

Our instructions said to begin checking in 15 minutes before the start time of 10 a.m. No one with a blue umbrella was around. We found a couple going on the tour who had booked through Expedia.com. Their instruction said to stand outside of Union Station where the America Restaurant was. Other people said their confirmation had nothing more specific than being at Union Station. A few were sent to the bus area in the next building.
The guide was personable and friendly. He sang a few songs from TV shows and encouraged interaction. There is some walking in Georgetown near the Exorcist sites. A restroom break was included since the small bus did not have a restroom. The guide was going to leave us in town at the Willard Hotel but half of us wanted to be dropped off at Union Station where we started from.

My friend and I quite enjoyed this tour, and learned a lot about movies filmed in DC.

For those of you going to this event and who register via Goldstar vs getting tix directly from On Location Tours, the meeting point is in front of the America restaurant just inside the main entrance to Union Station. The guide is holding a blue umbrella (though he didn't have it opened when we saw him) and is wearing an On Location Tours blue t-shirt. Definitely helpful to have this info, and keep your confirmation with you, as the phone # for On Location Tours is on the confirmation. I had to call them to find out where to meet the guide, as it was definitely not obvious!

Initially, we had a little trouble finding the guide. It said to meet at the entrance, so we went to 3 different entrance areas before we found the guy with the blue umbrella. Not a big deal but not a great description of the meeting point. From there, the trip was fantastic. The tour bus was smaller and the seats were very comfortable. The movie clips were only at the front of the bus, so it was a bit difficult to view from the back.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and had tons of movie info to share. We also had time to be a little silly with sing-a-longs. We got off the bus a few times for food/bathrooms/small walking tour portion in Georgetown. Overall, highly enjoyable and would recommend to friends.

About the Ticket Supplier: On Location Tours - D.C.

On Location Tours, Inc. (formerly Scene on TV Tours) was founded in June of 1999 by Georgette Blau, a 1996 graduate of Skidmore College. Blau founded the company shortly after her "move on up" to the East Side of Manhattan (into a not-so-deluxe apartment), where she discovered that she lived by the Jeffersons.

The aim of On Location Tours is to create tours that allow people the opportunity to straddle fiction and reality, letting them feel as though they are part of the TV show or movie, ultimately bringing them closer to the characters themselves.
