I'm so grateful to have seen this event. It's an AMAZING show!
I highly recommend sitting as close to the stage as possible to have the most interactive experience.
All of the performers are the best at what they do.

Many of the performers, especially the acrobats, are incredibly skilled. But several of the acts were too long. The audience participation "thespian" act was terrific. Believe me, I'm not a prude, but the nude act could have been cute and interesting, but instead was disgusting. There was an 11-year-old boy sitting right in front of us. This was inappropriate material for him and uncomfortable for those around him. Also offensive was the political pitch for one of our Presidential candidates.

Fabulous! Comic relief with a bit of naughtiness. Enjoyed every act except the kazoo gal with her poorly chosen political jokes that drew a thud. A fun evening of entertainment. We really enjoyed the performer with the Hula Hoops and the naked magician was amazing. The Circle seats are perfect as they are elevated above the ringside seats providing better sightlines. However, sound reverberates in the tent and is sometimes hard to hear the performers speaking. Overall, comparable to a Vegas show and well worth the Goldstar rate of $24.50 per ticket.

This show was tons of fun and would have been great for a bachelorette party. The amazing feats of acrobatic strength from the hard-bodied guys were nicely interspersed with laugh out loud comedic acts. Really, you have to see the dispersing hanky act to believe it. The performer gets increasingly naked as she runs of places to stash the hanky. The sound system was a little off, making the the music somewhat distorted. However, the venue was intimate, parking was easy and the restrooms were sparkling clean.

Seating is Open. You are not an assigned exact seat number. You are escorted to the area where you purchased the ticket.
Publications that reviewed LaSoiree described performers and their acts in this evenings performance accurately. Music trasmitted so very, very loud, it was impossible to hear the performer talking many times. Definitely was a change in the type of entertainment for us.

Dear cast, crew & producers.
From start to finish we thoroughly enjoyed.
Cleverly entertaining with a flare of burlesque & vaudeville.
Truly skilled, refined performers...really WOWED the audience! Bravo's & Brava's cast. You gave your all and we applaud you!
Adain, your Emcee...most personable and gave the performance such polish & enthusiasm while conveying with great anticipation. Hat's off Adin!
We will exclaim to others...La Soiree is not to be missed!
Pre-show music...too LOUD & shrill, monotonous, too circus like and inappropriate. Have a pianist at the PIANO or simply change. Please pay attention to audio-levels and equilization.
Music used/played through out the performance is perfect.
Too much A/C...we froze, wich can be a distraction.
Circle section. All seating is good and comfortable.
Wishing you great success and hope to see you here again.
Sincerely,
David Aaron & Guests

Fun, crazy evening. Lots of laughs and amazing athletic talent. The men acts were wonderful, two of the female acts were good and two were off-color and we felt cheapened the show. Loved the comedian! (female)
Great venue,on the river, made arriving early for drinks so enjoyable. Music overpowered the baritone and in general music (not associated with an act) was WAY TOO LOUD. All in all, we were glad we went and have suggested it to others.

Loved, loved, LOVED this show! I wasn't sure what to expect, especially after reading the performers' descriptions in the program while waiting for the show to start, but it was a spectacular show. Amazing feats of strength, side-splitting comedy, and lots of surprises, all rolled into a beautiful and spectacularly choreographed performance. Too bad the show is only in Chicago for another week, because I would love to go again and again and again, and take all of my friends. Warning to the squeamish: Yes, there is nudity in one act and some sexual references in others. If you don't like that, don't go.

This is an adults only cirque/vaudeville like show of exotic performers, an aerialist, gymnasts and musical entertainers. There is one female nudist and one rather risque musical performer. I agree that the one short reference to current politics could be deleted as it has no useful purpose.

Note: The acoustics in the Riverfront Theatre are pretty bad so the fact that this is mostly a visual show is very helpful. No really bad seats but the risers are better then the floor unless you want to be close to or a part of the action on the center circular stage.

In short, an entertaining evening for an adult audience with up close novelty acts in a summer tent atmosphere. Probably a great choice for bachelorette parties, older couples and gay men!

Ample seating and air conditioned tent was surprisingly cool, considering it was in the upper 80's outside. Plentiful and easy parking just blocks from the theatre.
The show is a clever blend of feats of strength and agility with a naughty side. (Expected for Burlesque.) A "what will happen next" entertainment. Le Gateau Chocolat blends irony with his powerful Baritone voice and clothing style. Amusing mind twist. Susannah Martinez's X-rated show left people stunned and speechless. Gorgeous male bodies to admire and comedy that pokes fun of the sensual. Great show!

Very entertaining. Be prepared for some truely adult burlesque along with feats of amazing gymnastics. The outer circle, thanks to tiered seating, has better sightlines than many front seats (unless you are situated behind a post). So don't feel obligated to move if they want you to fill in the closer seating area. Front row seats risk audience involvement and likely some wetness. Seating is open, so arrive a little early to get in line & choose the seat of your choice. Warning: Parking is convenient, but crazy expensive. Walk, bike or take public transportation if possible. I'd also recommend eating/drinking before hand, rather than paying $10 for a beer and a pretzel just because you are hungry/thirsty.

This is an adult circus event, eg. strip tease and lots of sexual inunedo served with acrobatics, clowning and very effective audience involvement in 1 of the acts. The piped in circus music is very loud which was OK, except when the baritone opera star (and cross dresser) sang and I was dissappointed that his singing was drowned out by the loud music. It was very hot when we went and they steered us to the so called pavillion (tent bar) that was air conditioned, dark and served cheap drinks and had very wobly tables and high top chairs. So we had a good time, but we were glad we didn't take any friends who might not have enjoyed it. It is open seating, even for ringside, and we got there early for a front row seat which we enjoyed.

Spectacular! We had a great time, enjoyed every moment-- funny, sexy, jaw dropping feats of athleticism.

I loved this show! It was funny, quirky, and for adults only. As with other Cirque du Soleil shows, these people are amazingly strong with unusual acts that combine the physical and artistic. Getting the discount through Goldstar made it even more fun. Seating is general admission, although the house wasn't full and people were being upgraded to better seating the night I was there.

La Soiree is an absolute must see if you enjoy the entertainment of Cirque de Soleill! It is a more intimate experience than the Cirque and one act in particular is definitely more risque!
The Ringside seating is definitely worth the additional $. If you get there early and are not faint of heart, do grab a first row seat around the stage.
Be prepared to laugh and be amazed at the talent these performers possess!

It was a fun cabaret, variety show with a goodly amount of sex appeal. This is not a family friendly show. It had a nice mix of acrobatics, songs and humor, but I couldn't help feeling that this should have been presented later at night. It seems to have a few more beefcakes vs cupcakes. The performers were not prudes nor were they shy.

One of the most enjoyable enjoyable experiences I have in a live entertainment. Laughed, clapped and hooting like a fool. It is a cabaret
of unusual and unique individuals. Beware there is lots of nudity.

Great Show - not for prudes or kids. My 95 year old mother LOVED IT.
We loved it. Cast was superb. Never a dull moment. We laughed and smiled all night.
