The wit and wordplay of two of America's finest and funniest writers are on display in a collection of eight of their short plays, all dealing with the theme of (mis)communication. In one of the works, a foreign bazaar proves hazardous to a tourist, and in another, a trio of monkeys discusses Shakespeare. David Ives' pieces are pulled from All in the Timing, which features reflections on everyday life built on snappy patter, quick-fire timing, inspired gibberish and paradoxical plot quirks. Meanwhile, in the works from An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein, you'll enter a uniquely imaginative world tied together by his darkly comic and instantly recognizable style.

Superb acting with actors playing multiple parts.
Constant play with languaging - with some very interesting
acts. Almost the entire audience cracked up
in constant laughter at one of the acts.
Definitely an enjoyable evening and well worth the cost.

This was a brilliantly written, and very well-performed play. I especially loved the fourth act, Words, Words, Words for it's very intelligent wordplay. If you like words in any way, you should see this play!

Stone Soup Theatre was a great venue as well. The staff were friendly, and it was a really intimate experience. I'd definitely like to see something there in the future.

Good actors. Loved the performance. Very small theater, chairs not so comfortable, but I'd go again.

I went expecting to love the Shel Silverstein pieces, and to get to know David Ives work. Turns out the Shel Silverstein pieces where dark - but David Ivers had me in stitches! I am one of the fans of the old Empty Space Theater, and have sorely missed its colorful, edgy productions. I think Stone Soup has the promise of at least partially filling the void of my beloved Empty Space. The acting was superb, and the atmosphere of theater in the making - bare bones, well-done theatrics. A wonderful experience, overall, and just the beginning of what promises to be a love affair with Stone Soup Theatre.

a wonderful, wordy series of little plays which bring to the fore how language and language-timing creates reality.

Great presentation and interpretation of some fun pieces by a couple of wonderful wordsmiths. Ensemble at Stone Soup provided a fine performance of the witty word play, with real emotion and heartfelt interaction between the players. Stage is a nice example of community theater, could have thought I was in Burbank or North Hollywood if it hadn't been raining outside :-).

This was our first time at this charming little theater. We enjoyed our afternoon here. Wdeunfrol Wdors is a series of one act plays. Some we really liked and some not so much. Acting was strong and the staff
friendly and welcoming.

This was a series of short acts that used plays on words and languages to "reveal" life. There were eight skits and one intermission. The actors were quite good and the intimacy of the theater added to the setting. We enjoyed ourselves.

8 vignettes about the art of mis/communication. It's funny, the actors were very good. It's an intimate space and the sets for each vignette were perfect. Amazing to watch the versatility of a book shelf.
Go and support the cast and Stone Soup. You won't regret it!
