Boy meets girl with a quirky sequel when reality sets in
The setting was intimate. It was like having your own troubadours perform for you.

I had never seen it, so really wanted to. It is cute but not great. No mistakes were made, but it is just kind of silly or too innocent these days. If you haven't seen it, it is minimally worth it just to say you know the story. I don't regret it,...continued

I was surprised how small the theater was. So small, the actors didn't need a mic to be heard. But this was a good thing; not a bad seat in the house and its not often you can be this close up to the action. It was very utilitarian, like no...continued

The cast was, by and large, excellent. The character of "El Gallo/The Narrator" was played with aplomb by an actor with a fabulous voice and stage presence. Though the female ingenue had a pretty voice, occasionally she was overwhelmed by the...continued

This charming play had so many hysterical moments, then more touching moments. We were just delighted by this wonderful production! We highly recommend it!

This is not your typical Musical. The theater is really small- which was fine- so there are no bad seats (only 5 rows). The show had some really funny moments (the actor who plays the indian is hilarious). It is a unique experience- not sure how...continued

For this price, I thought it was a fun event. It's in a very small theater and it was awkward that we were in the front row, as the action on stage was literally touching us. Overall I thought it a cute romantic comedy. I found the acting and...continued

Great musical that is entertaining for all ages. the actors engaged with the audience, and the close-up created intimacy that other large musicals can't achieve.

Had a great time. Good show and cast. There were very few people there, that was too bad. How long will it survive?

Small theater (really a large room w/ seats), talented cast. The play left me asking the question - why has this thing hung around for so long? Music, save for The Kind of September was okay. The plot, uncomfortable at times. The actors do the...continued

Small theater created an intimate setting. I don't dislike musicals but I'm not a fan either, although I laughed so much I fell in love the characters by the end. Just as described, a different take on the Romeo & Juliet story but loads of fun....continued

A real cute theatre, lovely cast, and sweet story end to end. Enjoyed the experience and the plot. Liked the goldstar seating as well.

An absolutely delightful show at a Goldstar price lower than the average NYC movie ticket. You can't beat it. There's a reason that this show has run for over fifty years, and will probably run for another fifty. It's just plain good.
