it's generally good. We liked the interactivity. The CSI room is almost too much information - it would be enhanced by having a knowledgeable guide. It just seemed overwhelming and we had already spent 2 hours looking at the earlier exhibits.

My 11 yr old daughter is a big NCIS fan. She loved this museum. Lots of hands on activity. Expect to spend at least 2-3hrs. Would not recommend for children under 8 you must be able to read and comprehend lots of material.

My husband had such a wonderful time. It is a lot of reading but very intersting. A must see if you like crime scenes and shows such as CSI.

My husband and I go to museums often and have seen almost all of the "new" additions in D.C. but we think the Crime and Punishment museum is one of the very best. It took us well over 2 hrs to cover just one floor though, so we're planning another...continued

The crime and punishment museum was my 11 year-olds favorite thing in D.C. Buy the detective challenge book. My kids shared a single book and had fun finding the clues to solve the case. Worth the money.

The displays were ok, but not worth the money spent to view them.
The extra CSI Experience / workshop was real poor / DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME or $$.

the first part is a bit dull, text/reading and display intensive while the seconed half is more interestingly laid out, more interactive and engaging. also, the second half has the more recent criminal information, like timothy mcveigh, abignale,...continued

The gory details of crime intrigued our group; I liked the scene setting music in the different rooms. I would recommend a break between the top (first) floor and the 'crime lab' because there's too much info to absorb all at once. It's not...continued

The museum is very interesting and there are a few interactive things to try. There is a lot of reading to be done -- nearly everything has a great deal of information and it took us nearly 3 hours to complete our visit. Having more seating...continued

The museum is pretty interesting. My sisters and I spent about 6 hours there, and we read and looked at almost everything. We liked it overall and found it enjoyable. However, it got to be disturbing after a while, and should not be for young...continued

The museum artifacts, scavenger hunt and low price totaled a wonderful outing for my family. The displays were interesting and occasionally jaw dropping. I learned while having fun searching the museum for a stolen necklace. There was a $10 fee...continued

There was something for everyone... medieval torture to NCIS. The displays were very interesting. The museum was not overly crowded. We spent three hours there. Very easy metro access -- Gallery Place is a block away.

This was a pretty good experience. However, all data and statistics were as of 2006. Also, there were many spelling and grammar errors on the reading material and in one place a sentence started and then the words dropped off the exhibit. ...continued
