Part of the museum is under reconstruction but what we saw was great especially the exhibit on Joel Grey. Would love to return once the contruction is completed.

The Joel Gray feature exhibit was fascinating. Loved the 15 movie too. The new furniture exhibit is exceptional!

The building is beautiful and it's a nice location (5th Ave.) However, half the museum was closed so it only takes about an hour to see everything, including an interesting slide show.

the 25 minute film on the history of NYC was absolutely wonderful as was the exhibit on the green food of NYC.

At least half of the museum was closed due to renovation including my favorite of 40 years, the doll house room.

In a city filled with some of the world's most unique and fascinating museums (of art, architecture, fashion, science, history, etc.), this may well be the most disappointing. The highlight of this relatively small museum (far too small in size...continued

My sister wanted to see Cecil Beaton's work that was on display. It was amazing! We had a wonderful time.

Two of the wings of the museum were closed for renovation so that is probably why they have tickets on Goldstar. The building was cool and the exhibits they had were interesting. We especially liked the 25 min vidoe about the different changes in...continued

The museum is small, but the exhibits were great. You should make a point to see the movie about how New York City came to be. I especially liked the Joel Grey photography exhibit & it has inspired me to walk around with my camera on a daily...continued

For the size and history of NY, I was disappointed at how little history of NYC was exhibited at the museum. My grandfather lived in NYC from 1917 to 1976 and I was hoping to find out what the city was like back then but there was not much at the...continued

The Roche and 9/11 exhibits were great and the 22 minute video on the history of NYC was very informative. I also enjoyed the displays of interior period furniture. A very delightful place to visit.

This is a shame to have such poor museum for the great city of New York. I would expect that level of expositions, materials and presentations somewhere in the middle of the country (no offense !). But New York has such rich and interesting...continued

Very interesting. As a native new yorker,, I learned even more. Loved several exhibits: Guastavino as well as Graffiti artists.
