It was during a heat wave.mover 100 degrees out. Wasn't clear that ithe scavenger hunt spy thing was outside. I'm with a 9 year old asthmatic and the museum won't exchange the tickets for indoor one. HORRIBLE. RUDE.

My son loved this and so did his parents!! We earned the rank of Spy Master. Do this in the morning if expecting hot weather. We started at 9 AM and by 10:30, we were soaked thru from the heat and humidity. Other than that, it was great!!!

Our family did this together using 1 gps unit. It was fun to work together, but my kids, who are techies, found this gps antiquated and frustrating. At one point, the gps locked up and quit working. We had to go back to the last two places and...continued

The idea was really fun. We should have planned to spend more time than we did. The GPS was fun to walk with, but we had problems finding the locations they wanted.

This was a fun way to be outdoors and walk around the city. I'm glad that I bought a discounted ticket through Goldstar as it wouldn't have been worth the retail price. Ideal for non-DC residents.

This was fun, outdoor event. Pros: it all takes place w/in a few blocks of the museum so is accessible to most people -- walking shoes required. Cons: hard to see screen on tablets in sunlight & there was one minor software glitch. Otherwise,...continued

Cute idea. I'd definitely say more for kids than adults. A couple of the puzzles were good (decoding using a landmark, finding a number on a building, etc.) and others were cheesy (pressing device against a wall to "listen through it" and...continued

My 11 and 13 year olds had a blast but here are my (small) complaints:
1. I registered for a 9am pick up and the Goldstar voucher confirmed that I could pick up the GPS from 9-10:59am. However, when we arrived at the museum at 9:45am, we were...continued

Spy in the City at the Spy Museum in Chinatown
I did spy in the city, which is an interactive activity. You get to be a spy. You are given a GPS which allows you to receive messages and tell you which location to go to in the city. It's a good way...continued

The spy in the city tour was big fun. I did it as a birthdayparty with 5 kids and it took us about an hour and a half. They were very exited and I think it was the first time I had my daughter run around the city for over an hour without...continued

The Spy Museum and Spy in the City experience were great! Now my companion and I are more paranoid than ever but if that's the price of so much info and fun so be it. Note that particularly if you're participating in Spy in the City wear comfie...continued

This activity offered by the International Spy Museum is a interactive, self guided tour around the city. You are given a personal GPS device that takes you on a fictional mission to capture a spy. There is a lot of walking around and you get to...continued

This is a complete and absolute rip-off. The equipment they give you doesn't work or is so slow that you spend most of your time standing around waiting for it to load. Requires a LOT of senseless walking and on a hot day very frustrating to have...continued

This was definitely a great experience. I went with a group of four people. We ended splitting into two teams of four. I wish we could have started at two different places so that we weren't at the same locations at the same time. Great date idea.

We had a great time, it was a nice first glimpse of that part of the city. You don't need to get a GPS for each person, 1 would have been fine for the two of us.

Fun, but geared toward kids. We enjoyed it anyway, in a kind of silly way. Also, one of our COBRA spy devices malfunctioned (actually a handheld GPS device). Fortunately, we got two of them, so we were able to finish the "mission" with the...continued

Good event, not ideal on very hot days which we had. Also, you only need one ticket per group/team as the price is for the rental of the gps tablet device. So they were shocked when we turned up with 5 tickets for two teams. We took four tablets...continued
