the cast did not speak loudly or clearly and I missed a lot of the dialog. I really did not care about any of the characters in the play, not sure whether it was the play itself or the actors.

Outstanding and superb performances by the entire cast! I thought the story itself was a little boring at times and I found myself waiting and wanting something exciting... continued

Very much enjoyed the play. It raised some complex issues about happiness, judgments people make, race and war. great acting.

We loved this play. It exceeded our expectations. The discussion afterward was very worthwhile too. We just moved to Chicago, and we knew that the Steppenwolf has had... continued

This play created interesting conflicts for discussion and did not answer them. This allowed reflection and discussions after the play to delve into our own thoughts and ideas.

A very well acted, well staged thought provoking work. I would definitely recommend it!

Steppenwolf continues to provide modern theater and the acting here was great. While the piece had its moments, the work was a Tony nominee, not a winner. Great use of the space, and not your traditional upstairs set.

Perhaps I was sitting too far back to hear all the dialogue, but I knew what was going on. I was fairly uninvolved and relieved when it was over.

Acting on the part of the players was first rate. Story was more than I imagined it would be, a thoughtful presentation that was more about human strength and frailty than about war.

I'm happy we went to this play but I wouldn't see it again. There were some thought provoking questions including one about the role of journalists and photographers in... continued

It was a nice play and good acting. Story was so so ... good topic, but brings nothing new to the subject.

Well acted play about the struggles of our current times of war and the relationships that are strained as a result of the conflicts.

Fascinating, thought-provoking. Hurt Locker meets Days of Wine and Roses. The main character compared his plight with his girlfriend to the latter movie. On the nose... continued

This play was excellent, gripping and powerful. One of the best I've seen in a long time. Not uplifting but very well written and acted and very timely. It challenges gender stereo types in an authentic way.

Once again Steppenwolf delivers the goods. The play was excellent, the actors were phenomenal and the set design was amazing. A bonus was a Q&A session with the director... continued
