I had been expecting the choir to mix it up a little bit with at least a few numbers outside of their usual Russian-Cossack folk melodies. Pretty soon I felt like dozing off, or at least entering a deep meditative state. I found the event quite...continued

With a large number of (I assume) Russian New Yorkers in the audience a really magical part of the evening was when the conductor invited the audience to participate - not in a tacky way but organically. The result was hauntingly beautiful singing...continued

This exceeded all expectations. The program was amazing, beautiful accapello music, powerful voices. Monday night 3000+ seat auditorium was full. A+++. Would go again.

I enjoyed this event and probably would have enjoyed it more from the orchestra but the price there was prohibitive. Soloists were great. Russians in the audience were many and seemed to have their favorites. Chorus was outstanding. Music...continued

Music was amazing - but got boring after the intermission. Maybe because we were seated in the last row of balcony; too far away to be engaged with the singers. Also, the amount of space between rows was worse than the airlines. I don't know...continued

One word - "impressive"! Definitely helps to have Russian roots. However, I am sure even those who don't have them will enjoy it quite a bit - a group of very talented people.

I personally loved it. I'm Ukrainian/Russian and this hit very close to home - they sang a lot of old and folk songs.
But you don't have to be Russian to appreciate the mastery. There are about 30 of them with a couple of soloists and they were...continued

Very pretty music done without instruments. The soloists were very inspiring. I do not speak Russian as the majority ofthe audience did but still the inspirational nature of the religious and folk music was evident.

Fantastic Choir! The soloists were outstanding, especially the Bass. The sound was round/lush and the musical shapes/phrases were breathtakingly beautiful. Easily 5 Stars

strong, well organized and directed choir. all in russian; should have been short, english intros about each piece. featured members with outstanding voices. "song of the volga boatmen" the only recognized piece familiar to most of the audience.

The music and the soloists were terrific! They put together a beautiful nostalgic show- their voices were amazing! I would not have known about this event if not for Goldstar!

This group of about 30 men were fantastic! They had no piano or any instuments, the bass section kept many of the beats going! The 2 key soloists were an added bonus. Even though the songs were in Russian, which I don't know, it made no...continued

A rare opportunity hear Russian religious music, magnificently sung by a Russian church choir. Wonderful program that also enclude Russian folk music.
