Beautifully staged and with sharp, witty writing to match. This play offered a far more nuanced view of conservatives, particularly to progressive Boston audiences. Many laugh-out-loud moments, and not always at the expense of our usual targets.

A very thought-provoking and engaging play, with very strong acting and dialogue. It's basically a traditional play in terms of dialogue and staging, with primary focus on challenging family dynamics. I personally thought a few of the plot twists...continued

Well acted, except for the daughter in the first act seemed to be overacting. That improved in the second act. The mother and aunt were outstanding. The story seemed a little slow in the first act, but after the second act, you understand that the...continued

Both the acting and writing went beyond our very high expectations. The play was outstanding - shouldn't be missed- and the entire Goldstar process went smoothly as always. Thank you!

Didn't like it. To be fair I left early as I had an emergency, but sat through nearly half of it. It's really meant for people in their 50s and above. I didn't understand a lot of the social references, which is abnormal for me. The acting was...continued

The play was well written and poignant. It had witty, laugh-out-loud moments, but whether it was the acting or the play--it left me cold.

Families have secrets. Baitz has written a drama that explores a families secrets and how they live and survive around the family traumas.
The acting all around was the best I have seen by Boston's regulars. Karen MacDonald played Polly,...continued

I enjoyed the performances, generally, but thought it could have been a little tighter ie. shorter. Also, toned down a bit - some of the actors seemed to get a bit carried away.

An interesting drama that offers several moral issues and questions what we perceive as truth.

Well acted drama of family trauma and secrets surfacing at a family get together on Christmas eve. A captivating climax in the second act that mesmerizes the audience. Well worth seeing.
