This play was silly and boring. I was totally disappointed in what seemed like a grade school production. Unfortunately, there was no intermission and no real way to escape without interupting the play.

This was just average for me. Agree with another reviewer that it was not the actors but the material. It didn't really keep my attention and I did not find it that funny. There were a few funny parts. It seemed like the production people were...continued

A fun show with a good cast and well developed characters. An amusing and witty script keeps the show moving until the end. Very enjoyable.

I love this little theater and have seen several shows here over the years. So I hate to say bad things about the show. But this one was pretty insufferable. As one of our party said, that was 90 minutes that seemed like 6 hours. Nearly all...continued

Small theater in the round, probably 60 seats total? Cast was excellent, writing was excellent. 1 hour 20 minutes with no intermission.

What a great venue and the play was delightful;very witty. Jennie Brick was wonderful and believable as Sister Liz ; she grounded the production. The entire cast did well with the enormous task of taking on multiple roles. I would reccomend...continued

Wonderful company, and of course hilarious play by two of my favorite authors, the Sedaris'. Steve marvelled at the creativity, and we are still laughing about who is the most "squeamish" ? Loved it! Thanks for bringing it back!

the Book Of Liz was good. I enjoyed it but it was not great. The best part is when she is working in the diner, great scenes. the cast was good and handled the material well. but the script was slightly weak. It is still worth going to and I like...continued

The problem isn't with the cast ( they're animated and fun), it's with the material. I genuinely enjoy David Sedaris, but this one left me flat. .

We saw the preview performance of "The Book of Liz" and would recommend it to others. The material is Sedaris; the performance was well-acted; the cast played multiple characters.

I am a David Sedaris fan and was looking forward to an evening of zany hilarity. Within the first 20 minutes of this awful production, I realized that few, if any, laughs would be elicited, but the theatre was too small to allow an inconspicuous...continued

It was cute but kind of like a watered down Book of Mormon. I like what they did with the space. Worth a mid-week date night.

Outstanding acting. Script was not as funny as I expected from Sedaris, so maybe had too much expectation. One audience member was obnoxiously distracting, laughing alone the entire time: maybe a friend of one of the cast?

The play was very funny, quirky as only the Sedaris' can be, well acted, and clever. We enjoyed it -

One expects the Sedarises to be very funny, but this was not. However, there were a number of funny lines that I got after the fact. There are too many story lines going and although they are all brought together in the end, it feels confused...continued
