Whacky fun from beginning to end. Small theater setting brings characters more to life. 1 hour 15 mins with no interval.

A disappointing play from a usually stellar theater group. The Book of Liz is little different from a 3rd rate television sitcom. The absurdities are intentional and could, perhaps, have been part of an amusing play if the writing weren't so...continued

Really fun Saturday afternoon experience, theater a bit stuffy, unpleasant on a warm day, but generally a good experience.

This is a VERY small theater (@ 50 seats) so you are basically sitting on the stage. I had hoped that this would be a funny Sedaris-like comedy but it ended up disapointing me.

The play , The Book of Liz, was mildly entertaining, with its caricatures. However, I was very disappointed with the actors. In such a small space, they were unnecessarily yelling their lines, making it hard to understand. Some of the actresses...continued

This show was only mildly entertaining and I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone. Only a few smiles here and there and no real laughs, this was a bit of a disappointment. The character of Liz was the best thing the play had to offer, she was...continued

This small-scale production is put on in a space for an audience of maybe 50, tops. There are 4 actors playing a total of about 12 characters. The set consists of a cabinet and two chairs. And yet, it works. This play is about the words and ideas...continued

It was a fun, intelligent play. Great, intimate theatre. I will go back.

My 2 friends and I went to this play on Friday night. We met 2 other people after the play, who had seen it also and unfortunately for them they paid full price. Because the play was so bad, we had entertained ourselves by observing audience...continued

Nice venue but didn't like the play. Some humorous parts but few and far between. We were disappointed.

The play disappointing overall. The actors worked the script as well as possible but there really wasn't all that much to work with. Amy and David Sedaris have done much better work and this seemed like they wrote it after dinner one night of...continued

This was a cute idea with some clever lines, but overall very little substance. We like to support the theater in general, however, and this is worth seeing as long as your expectations aren't too high.

Before the show, I wanted to know the length of the show so I could plan my evening, especially dinner. It was 90 min without an intermission. I ended up eating before leaving for the show so I can't recommend any restaurants. I honestly did not...continued

Great venue, polite nice audience and staff. The show however, wasn't that funny. Maybe it's just not my style of humor, but it's not worth the hype. This is not to say that the actors aren't talented - they are!

I just really like this small theatre. Seating on three sides, all good viewing, the people working there are nice, the actors are far better than you might expect. It's a very nice experience over all, regardless of the play. I encourage...continued

I would actually give the PLAY ITSELF two stars...and the ACTORS four stars...so...I am compromising with THREE. The only really funny part of the play were the AA jokes. I have been in recovery for 26 years and lampooning AA was just hysterical...continued

Lovely customer service upon entering and a fantastic production. An intimate theater and a delicious cup of wine. The writing was pure Sedaris and I found myself chortling the whole time. It makes sense this was the 3rd time they've done the play!
