If you get out early enough and go to the door to the right of the main entrance, that's the stage door where the cast exits afterwards

If you get there early enough for dinner, walk up the street to District Taco. Very yummy and affordable, even had vegetarian options for me!

Theatergoers: PLEASE resist the urge to eat during the performance. Contrary to what you may think, rustling around in the candy bag CAN be heard by everyone around you.

Make a reservation ahead of time, if you're looking to eat. Every place we tried was packed.

Parking downtown is a drag. Pretty cheap garage at 660 11th -- a couple blocks from the theater.

We had a quick dinner at Chef Geoff's. We made reservations for 5:45 pm online. Service and food were good.

3 Parking lots were full; I found parking on the street and paid for the first hour since we got there before 6:30 pm -- I got a ticket because I didn't display my receipt on my dashboard which I didn't know about.

The weather was cold. I wore slacks/turtleneck/vest; there was a draft in the theater especially on our legs..

Take the metro to Metro Center. It's super close and parking is a pain anyway (but there are parking decks nearby and some street parking).

Brunch at the Occidental before the 2 pm matinee works well. A special treat!

Chef Geoff's (around the corner from National) is always a good meal.

If you go outside immediately after the show, you can get the cast to sign your Playbill. They were very patient and very friendly, especially James Snyder.
