There are chips, candy, sodas, and water available for purchase during Intermission, but the only thing you can take into the theater is water.

The weather was Balmy. I wore A sweater...the inside of the theater was a little chilly, so I was comfortable..

No food or drink is allowed inside the theater. The lobby is still safe, though.

The Avo is a converted historic movie theater. Seating is general admission and there's limited accessible seating.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Seating is ALL General Admission, so get in line by 6:15 to see this show. We arrived at about 6:25 and there were already at least 70 people waiting to get in when they opened the doors at 6:30. The theater seats over 350, so we had a good choice of seats, but if we had done our usual habit of arriving 5 minutes before the show to slide into our assigned seats, we'd have been horribly disappointed.

There is nothing in the way of eating places right by the theater that are open at night. There is a Chili's on the way plus some other faster food choices a short drive away. Don't drink too much...the play is long. The line for the ladies room during intermission was VERY long!

There are food joints all within walking distance from the AVO Playhouse -- try URBN Pizza for great East-Coast style pie!!

Get to the theater at least 45 minutes early in order to find decent seats two together. You have to stand in two lines if you have a ticket at the box office. It was too hot and humid to have to stand in lines outdoors for so long for a 5 pm performance.

Urbn Pizza is just a block away from the theatre! Great pizza, and amazing salads! Try the Cheesey Bread Sticks! Yum

First come, first served seating stinks. Those in the know got there very early. The rest of us "virgins" didn't do so well. Although there were not really bad seats, lots of attendees did not get to sit with their companions.

It turned out to be a full hour drive from Tierraanta. Once there, found parking with no problem.

Lots of good food in Downtown Vista. The Mexican restaurant across the street was deliciously in walking distance

There are public parking lots on both sides and across the street from the theatre. Very easy access.
