A solid new musical with a talented, engaging cast and terrific staging and direction. Recommended!

The musical itself is not great - the story it trite and the music and lyrics are pedestrian and unmemorable. The cast is mediocre at best, and the singing is often off key. Made 90 minutes feel like 3 hours.

Took my teenaged kids for my birthday. Loved the singing, really excellent voices and songs, musicians. All round a great play and my kids admitted they didn't hate it, which says an awful lot :-)

Parking was easy if you used their valet otherwise not so easy. Seats were not comfortable. The music was okay but not the bluegrass we expected.
The cast very talented. All the voices were impressive. The sets were clever and worked well.

A tale told mostly through song with a very talented well balanced cast with strong voices. Dynamic staging greatly enhances the pace of the show. The setting is West Virginia, the music "blue-grass." Go see it

The production was terrific. The actors were wonderful; I really enjoyed it! The theatre staff as a whole was quite unfriendly, the one exception was the very warm and friendly gentleman accepting tickets.

Didn't know what to expect coming into this show with this company, but I LOVED it! The actors were all phenomenal, strong leads, and amazing harmonies. The band rocked. A great show and I'd definitely see it again.

Very interesting play is a cultural record of coal mining. Actors were great! Music affective in taking audience to the coal mines... Felt the trapped feelings of the kids... Well done set that morphed from one place to another... Unique...continued

The actors are all good and sing well, but each song sounds like the one before. Needs work.

This was an out of the ordinary piece of work....sort of operetta....all music...but the story was quite culturally reflective and I thought the overall production and the casting was excellent.....I've done community and professional theater for...continued

A polished production with some fabulous performances and a likeable score, but a weak story that doesn't withstand a lot of thinking through.

I have to start by saying that any issues with this production have to do with the source material itself. The actors all gave fantastic performances, the musicians were great, and the staging (including the set design) was well-done. I saw...continued

An engaging, heartwarming story in a very intimate setting. I thoroughly enjoyed the music, the singing, and the characters.

Painful. I went because of the promise of bluegrass music but the repetitive, boring score had almost nothing to do with bluegrass, the book was silly and cliched, and the obviously talented cast were pushed to play every moment waaay over the...continued

The venue was cozy, very nicely kept, with friendly staff. Parking is tricky (none, basically), but there is valet parking available at the theater and Public Valet parking across the street, which worked just fine.
The musical itself was...continued
