Check to see if other things are playing at the Dorothy Chandler, Mark Taper or Disney! I went last night and ALL the venues were active so parking was crazy!

During the holidays there are often events happening at every venue in the Music Center (taper, dorothy chandler, ahmanson & wdch) so allow that extra time to park and get to the venue. Also know it will take awhile to get out of the parking lot after the show.

Besure to allow time either before or after the show for pictures in the plaza with the Christmas tree, there's also a gorgeous tree in the lobby of the Ahmanson and a couple of press backdrops for pictures, too!

Many theatergoers were eating at the outdoor bar, and everyone was having the kale salad with the added salmon. A winner!

The weather was calm and warm. I wore slacks and shirt. very informal production and theater so jeans are OK. theater gets warm in the mezzanine so plan accordingly.

Go to Nick & Stef's nearby on Grand. They have a free shuttle, so you can park for $5.50 and be shuttled back and forth to the Ahmanson. Also, for steaks that taste great and cut like buttah, you can't pass up Nick & Stefs!

The funky Redwood Inn a great pre-dining experience without all the expense of the others. It is a small, mariner-themed pub, just a short walk down the hill from the Disney Hall. Occassional street parking after 6PM.
