Some of the best acting I've ever seen in any play in DC. Fun setting, friendly staff, free drinks made available to play-goers, what's not to love?

An interesting plot/story line, but the ending was very abrupt and somewhat unsatisfying. There was no closure to the characters conflict. Also, a lot more of the female character's past was revealed than the male character's...so the story felt...continued

It was the first time I had been to the Anacostia Playhouse. Now I know how easy it is to get to for future performances.

D.L. Coburn's two-character play THE GIN GAME receives an unexpectedly Pinteresque staging from director Rob Lutfy at the Anacostia Playhouse. The real surprise here is how well this bold gambit works. Actors Dane Galloway and Adele Robey deliver...continued

Great Venue, a small intimate theater, where it's hard not to be emotionally drawn in. And what a pleasure to see two excellent actors performing an interesting and thoughtful play. Very worthwhile and very worthwhile supporting this theater and...continued

The show was great...engaging and certainly kept my interest. You were always wondering what was going to be exposed.

Actors were too young for the roles, thus making it hard to believe that they were geriatrics. I though the background noise track was very disruptive and made it hard to focus on the dialogue. There's pretty much nowhere to eat nearby, but I...continued

The theatre was easy to get to. The price was great. The playhouse is too spartan and the chairs not very comfortable, but okay for a short play.

Play was interesting and the actors okay. Found it however just one scene after another an old man...continued

The Gin Game was excellent. Robey (Fonsia) and Galloway(Weller) were brilliant and the Anacostia Playhouse was the perfect venue. The intimate space increased the power of drama and relationship unfolding--actually peeling back--between the two...continued
