Of course the setting of the scenic St Croix was great. The smaller boat was actually great and not crowded. The boat was clean and pleasant. The crew and staff seemed on top of things (except see the comment on the bartneder, etc below). The food was average for such events; who expects much from a small buffet anyways. Buy there was plenty of average food.
I was disappointed in the very small, allegedly "6 ounce pour" of wine. It was clearly an overtrained, under pouring bartender. And when I voice my preference for more wine, and she told me it was 6 ounces, I tried to tell her she was mistaken and asked for mroe. When she said 'sorry', we pour six ounces. I said, 'Okay, then make it six ounces. She smiled and basically ignored my concern. Needless to say I did not, and would not again, order wine if that is thei deal. $7 for a 4 or 5 ounce pour of at best average tasting wine was a disapointment.
The cruise event was nice and a good location change from the oft visited Stillwater boats north of the I94 bridge.

Very nice leisurely cruise along the St. Croix. Sun went down early but still a great experience riding topside in the fresh fall-like air. Food was very good and plentiful. Everyone commented on how good the beef was. We will do this again !
