This is the last time we are going to the Canyon club. I had no problem waiting an hour to see the main act I paid for. Unfortunately, after 2 hours I left and did not even see the band I paid. Most of the audience (not even 20 people) left. They need to stop addidng acts that were not listed on the ticket. Wasted my time & over $100 for tickets food & drinks!!

Lucy Walsh was sweet, if not melancholy; the Greg Leon Invasion was good, solid rock. Too bad nothing started until after 9pm and my date was too cold from the 65 degree room (maybe because almost no one attended). We left about 10:30pm before Bluebeard made it on stage.

Expected at least one or two "Music of Styx" and found that there was none.
The pre-show event was good original music.
Bluebeard is good band to see and hear.

Same as the other person except I called and asked when the main group was to start. They said 8 AM I should have known better.I was there at 8 and listened to Lisa.Very nice but not what I paid to hear.If the band I paid didn't come on at 9 I'm leaving. I did.Same old crap from the canyon. Well it's starting to show. No one in there. It's too bad I would have liked to see Bluebeard.

Quotes & Highlights

Description

Los Angeles cult rock band Bluebeard has announced the follow up disc to the critically acclaimed 2007 CD "Deluxe With Reverb." The new disc, titled "The Other Side of Heaven" will feature songs from talented young rock songwriters seeking to work with the band and musical gems from the band's vast library of material.

Bluebeard has been around for nearly 30 years and was a mainstay of the Southern California club scene in the 70s and 80s, playing dates with everyone from Van Halen to The Motels to Steppenwolf. They recently have been opening for quality acts such as Kansas, Foghat and Blue Öyster Cult. Their first full-length album, "Bad Dream," was released in 1978 and is a treasured collector's item among rock connoisseurs, with asking prices up to $500 per copy on on-line auction sites. Bluebeard received widespread critical acclaim in the U.S. (from the likes of Billboard Magazine, Cash Box, BAM and Radio Report), and is still an underground favorite in Japan and Europe.

The tragic death in 2004 of Robert Barry Leech, the band's original lead singer and creative force, led the remaining members to reunite in honor of his memory with a singular focus to once and for all bring their brand of rock & roll to the world. The spirit of this relationship will continue and taken to new levels on the new album. "Deluxe With Reverb" is commercially available now at Best Buy, Borders, Target, iTunes, MSN Music, Napster, Sony Connect, Starbuck's Hear Music, Rhapsody and other leading brick & mortar and on-line music stores. A special edition CD, featuring three bonus tracks, is available for sale at Amazon.com, Bestbuy.com and other fine retailers. The new album will be released as digital singles beginning in October 2008.

"We intend to re-connect with Bluebeard's core audience worldwide and introduce them to new fans via this new album," said Robert Bryant, Shelter From the Storm's VP of Content. "Judging from the reaction of the standing-room-only all ages audience at their shows in Southern California, Bluebeard's music has strong across-the-board appeal." He continued by adding, "The 2008 line up with TR Estep (replacing Lee Gordon on lead vocals) and Brian Barnum is the strongest yet, and with JS Hart and T Buffalo Wagnon working their magic with special effects and superior sound, it's a must see act"
