Five-time Grammy-winner Michael McDonald's smooth soul baritone, stellar songwriting and distinctive look have made him a pop-music icon ever since he broke through with the Doobie Brothers in 1975. His tenure with the group produced major hits like "Real Love," "Takin' It to the Streets" and "What a Fool Believes," among others. And even after going solo in 1982, he manned the top of the charts with tunes like "I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near)," "Yah Mo B There," "Sweet Freedom" and "On My Own," his No. 1 duet with Patti LaBelle. Since then, he continues to blaze new trails, with projects ranging from a platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated album of Motown covers to a tour with Donald Fagen and Boz Scaggs and even a guest appearance with indie rockers Grizzly Bear. He'll play his favorites and more when he hits The Canyon for this concert. Learn More

The Gin Blossoms were wonderful! They have always been a favorite band of mine and never disappoint. The Canyon would be a good place to see a band if they didn't try to squeeze soooo many people into tables placed too close together for dinner service. The food is WAY overpriced. The quality of the food has improved, but they no longer give you a dinner salad or bread to start with. You only receive your plate of food and that's it. The cheapest entree on the menu is vegetable lasagna for $14.99 and the next is the meat lasagna for $18.95. Everything increases from there. If you don't eat dinner you are relegated to the area behind the tables for the show. The tables are long cafeteria style tables with table clothes on them and placed about 4 or 5 end to end. So without dinner you will be standing way behind this.

I enjoyed the music; lead guy Robin was great and interacted with the crowd a lot, drummer was fantastic. BUT I would have enjoyed it much more at HALF THE VOLUME - it was WAY too loud for comfort. The venue is small, it doesn't need to be so loud.
