Nobody rocked the '80s harder than Motley Crue, the SoCal legends that ruled the charts with such hits as "Dr. Feelgood," "Shout at the Devil" and "Girls, Girls, Girls." Although the original band is no longer performing together, Motley 2 provides the next best thing. One of the country's top tribute bands, Motley 2 performs '80s era Motley Crue with passion, talent and attitude, reminding audiences of why they were the best. Nearvana bills themselves as the "Ultimate Nirvana Experience" and after seeing them in concert, you're sure to agree. Nearvana is an amazing re-creation of the rock band that emulates Kurt Cobain and the group at the height of their popularity, demonstrating what a ferocious live force they were. Complete with all the looks, outfits, stage theatrics and sound, Nearvana is a true simulation of being at a live Nirvana concert.

The Canyon welcomes Dick Dale. The legendary "King of the Surf Guitar" is credited with inventing the classic sound which inspired guitarists from Jimi Hendrix to Eddie Van Halen and beyond. Dale may be best known to modern audiences for his song "Misirlou", used as the opening theme in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. More than fifty years after his career began, Dale is still one of the hardest-rocking guitarists in America, and he's known for his high-energy live shows. Learn More

Nearvana was average at best, sounded very poor to start the set, improved towards the end. Motley 2 was entertaining and sounded great - lead singer nailed it every time. Not much energy at Canyon Club on a Thursday night though.
