The Canyon welcomes Dick Dale. The legendary "King of the Surf Guitar" is credited with inventing the classic sound which inspired guitarists from Jimi Hendrix to Eddie Van Halen and beyond. Dale may be best known to modern audiences for his song "Misirlou", used as the opening theme in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. More than fifty years after his career began, Dale is still one of the hardest-rocking guitarists in America, and he's known for his high-energy live shows. Learn More

Written on Jul 08 2012I wanted to enjoy this SO bad! Quickly after purchasing these tickets I saw tickets to another concert which my friend and I contemplated going to instead. We both agreed to attend this show since we already had the tickets. BIG MISTAKE! The opening act was painful. Lost most of the audience right away. Tom Green and Harland Williams tried this sort of tag team comedy set... it didn't work as well as it sounded. Tom did an ok job but with the weak intro and the non laughs provided by Harland.... there wasn't anything Tom could do to win back this audience.
Written on Jun 25 2012Even the best comedians have off nights. I'm hoping that's all this was. An experiment in tag-team comedy that, at best, brought smiles, but not laughs. The Canyon was great with the best table service for this type of venue!
Written on Jun 25 2012Swearing and using the F-word in almost every other sentence does not make a comic funny. Would never have guessed they were comedians if they hadn't been on stage and worn tennis shoes!
