The show was great. Always wanted to see ZPZ. Was better than I expected, and I expected a whole lot.Written on Feb 20 2012
Loses a star not for the performance but the club, who oversold the show, making it hard to find a place to see more than half the stage.

Don't bother going to the Canyon unless you want to spend a lot of money to either sit down and have a meal or sit in the reserved area for an extra $30. I have never liked this venue much anyway and only went because a friend of mine is an avid Frank Zappa fan. He was disappointed too. We ended up way at the back having to constantly adjust our positions to try and see between gaps in the audience and over the people in front of us. The venue bouncers were completely inconsiderate. In the past, once dinner was over, they would allow people to stand in the area behind the tables and rear partition for the raised seating area. But not on this occasion. So one was forced all the way to the back near the toilets and exit doors. Ridiculous! The band themselves were in good form and played for over 2 hours. I would give them 4 stars; the venue none. Go see them but do not go to this venue unless you are willing to spend spend spend.Written on Feb 25 2012

What a great opportunity to see such amazing musicians, playing such amazing music (lots of lesser-known Frank Zappa songs... what a treat!), in such an intimate venue. I'm usually not overly impressed with the sound at the Canyon, but they stepped it up for this show, and everything was just perfect. Thank you, Goldstar, for the discounted tickets!Written on Feb 23 2012
