The ticket price were great but the actual show was horrible; like a high school production.
It was very poorly produced. The acting was horrible as well as the singing. There was zero chemistry between the actors.
I, along with my friend and the people behind us, found myself laughing uncontrollably during the "serious" parts of the performance.
Elton John would flip his wig if he saw how horribly his vision was reproduced.
Quotes & Highlights
This Broadway favorite was nominated for five Tony Awards and won two, including Best Original Score.
Based on the original opera by Guiseppe Verdi, Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida is a classic tale of love, duty, and the choices we all face. Aida, a Nubian princess, is captured by an Egyptian captain, Radames. He soon falls in love with her and saves her from a life of hard labor and instead gives her as a handmaiden to the Egyptian princess Amneris, his future bride. Set against a backdrop of loyalty, betrayal, and forbidden love. Aida is the story of three people who are forced to make difficult choices that will alter history forever.
