Kim Allen Kluge leads the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra in a concert featuring the works of Mendelssohn and Stravinsky. The concert is the culmination of a weeklong residency by internationally renowned violinist Midori, during which she will visit Alexandria-area schools. Revel in the pure physicality of music as The Alexandria Symphony Orchestra, in partnership with Bowen McCauley Dance and the Alexandria Choral Society, presents “Rapture.” The program features Mendelssohn’s "Symphony #4 “'Italian,'” Handel’s "Zadok the Priest," Fauré’s 'Pavane,' Beethoven’s "Elegischer Gesang, Opus 118," and Respighi’s "Ancient Airs and Dances #1."
