Classical favorites will fill the air as the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra celebrates the season and the National Gallery of Art's spring show in To Inspire. With works including Beethoven's Fifth, the ASO will play pieces that inspired the artist Degas -- whose work is featured in one of the NGA's spring exhibitions -- and continue to inspire today. Special guest Matthew Harding will perform Molter's Trumpet Concerto No. 1 and the ASO debut of soprano Anita Johnson will find her performing favorite classical arias of Mozart, Verdi, Bizet and more.
