report as inappropriateWe celebrated Mother's Day during a Friday noon lunch. It was a beautiful day, a delicious meal and excellent service. We are looking forward to our next visit about Nina's Dandy.
report as inappropriateFood was OK, nothing special. We had a cold windy day so did not spend any time outdoors on deck. Music and line dancing was a lot of fun. Another large group was there and led the line dancing, which made the day a lot more fun, since we couldn't get outdoors. Definitely worth getting the discount Goldstar price; would have been a real shock if we had paid full price, because all drinks are charged separately plus a lot of extra charges are tacked on by the boat company -- 10% tax, 15% gratuity, and $4 fuel charge -- so the day ended up being very expensive even with the discount tickets. Altogether, about $80 each with two beverages. The bill is totaled up at regular price then the Goldstar pre-payment is subtracted. So the math is complicated.
Tide was too high to get under 14th Street bridge, so boat went up Anacostia River instead, its standard alternate route, and that was good -- we go to see Nationals Stadium and the new waterfront park from the water.
report as inappropriateThe ride was enjoyable however the food was a little bland and the extra fees were disappointing. The music and atmosphere was very nice. Birthday girl still enjoyed it.
report as inappropriateThis was the worst cruise we have gone on.You don't see any monuments like the picture suggests. There was no narration to tell you what to look for or what there was to see.You got on the boat ate sailed up and down the river and got off.The meal was just ok nothing special. It was very dull and boring.Coffee and tea were extra and icluded with the meal, when you asked why they became very offencive and rude.Make sure to read the fine print (fuel tax).We never go here again and would now recoment this cruse to anyone.
