Celebrate the tumultuous joys of live theater with A Man of No Importance, a musical treasure from the team that created the Tony Award-winning classic Ragtime. This compelling story by playwright Terrence McNally brims with passion and humor, coupled with a gorgeous score filled with Irish-inspired music from Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens. Set in Dublin, the musical follows an amateur theater group and their leader who is determined to stage Oscar Wilde's Salome at his church, despite objections from church authorities. The comedic musical is bolstered by an emotional storyline concerning the sexual awakening of the main character. Learn More

Small venues can sometimes be a challenge, but this one wasn't at all. The reception area is TINY but the warmth of the staff makes you feel very welcome right off. Coffee, drinks and cookies smooth the way too, and are available before the show as well as during intermission. Since the venue IS so small, there is of course no bad seat. Some people might be "intimidated" by having all the "action" take place so close at hand but it is actually very enjoyable. It's almost as if you were IN the play so to speak... Now to the performance: all actors did their best and some stood out more than others, but on the whole, every minute was enjoyable, entertaining, with many laughs to be had. Not a minute or even second of boredom. As for the location: since it is in a more business park area, there is plenty of parking since the businesses are closed.(But it is not a commercial area-it is clean and open all around albeit a bit dark.)Extremely easy to get to and easy fo find as well, with the instructions given. Very pleasant evening out.Written on Mar 12 2012

There were great performances from the key characters. I would describe the script as more amusing than hilarious but it was still enjoyable, keeping in mind it was written in the late 1800's. The Gallery always gives us high quality productions.Written on Mar 12 2012

A lovely, funny, animated play! The kids in the audience loved it as much as we did! These actors transported us entirely into that era and also displayed the manners of those times. Very well done!Written on Mar 20 2012
