Blind housewife Susy Hendrix is terrorized in her apartment by a band of criminals who believe she has the heroin-stuffed doll they smuggled into the country. But Susy's no helpless victim. She manages to kill the lights, leveling the playing field and creating a truly terrifying game of cat-and-mouse. Originally produced on Broadway in 1966 and made into an Audrey Hepburn film a year later, Wait Until Dark is an electrifying thriller by Frederick Knott, the playwright behind Dial M for Murder. There were great performances from the key characters. I would describe the script as more amusing than hilarious but it was still enjoyable, keeping in mind it was written in the late 1800's. The Gallery always gives us high quality productions.
