Known for enduring radio hits like "Why Can't We Be Friends," "Cisco Kid," "Spill the Wine" and "Low Rider," legendary California band War has combined rock, funk, jazz, Latin music, R&B and reggae to sell tens of millions of albums in their more than four-decade career. War's lyrics may often be political in nature, but their music has always retained the laid-back vibe of their Southern California roots. The enduring band has been honored with 17 gold, platinum or multi-platinum awards since its formation in 1969. Renowned for their brilliant, high-energy live shows, the funk-rock legends headline the City National Grove of Anaheim. Learn More

We enjoyed Kathleen Madigan and her opening act, a male comedian. The seats, however, were pretty bad. The positive - we were straight back from the center of the stage. The negative - we had the second and third seats from the back of the auditorium. The showroom was quite large for a comedian, and being at the back of it, we were not able to see her very well. They did have 2 large tv screens which were what we watched. However, if we wanted to watch the show on tv, we would have stayed home and saved the ticket costs and parking fee. Another negative is the table setup. They had large rectangular tables with your side facing the stage (Las Vegas showroom style). So, if you are at the back of the table, there are many heads to dodge to try to get a glimse of the performer. Also, late arrivals were seated at our table while the show was in progress. Their talking caused us to miss a bit of the show. There were empty tables on each side of our table so these late arrivals could easily have been seated at one of the empty tables without disrupting our table. My advice would be not to buy Goldstar tickets for this venue unless you know beforehand where you will be seated. To be fair to Goldstar, this is the first time we have had bad seats after approximately 16 purchases.
Kathleen Madigan is one of the most popular headliners in the country. An American Comedy Award winner as best female stand-up, her accessible and unpretentious style has earned her a devoted and growing following. Unlike any other female comedian working today, Kathleen resonates with a broad base of fans from coast to coast. She packs theaters from Nevada to North Carolina and everywhere in between.
A consulting producer and performer on Lewis Black's "Root of All Evil," on Comedy Central, her standup specials on HBO and Comedy Central have earned rave reviews and her latest CD/DVD In Other Words was one of the most downloaded comedy albums of 2006-2007.
She is a regular guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, VH-1, E!, and CNN. She's a mainstay on Comedy Central where she recently debuted a new one-hour special and appeared on The World Stands Up, USO Comedy Tour, World Comedy Tour, and Comedy Central Presents. Kathleen recently served as a talent scout on NBC's Last Comic Standing and is the host of her own show on Sirius Radio Networks, The Kathleen Madigan Show. She's the only 5’2” Mid-Missouri Hoop Shoot Champion in recorded history.
