One of Rolling Stone's Greatest Guitarists of All Time, Johnny Winter recently passed away. Now, his brother, Edgar Winter, and an all-star lineup of 1960s blues-rock pioneers assemble to pay tribute to Johnny at the Rock 'N' Blues Fest. Get ready for blazing guitar work and electric grooves on jukebox hits like "Johnny B. Goode," "Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo," "Hustled Down in Texas," "Free Ride," "Frankenstein," "You Keep Me Hangin' On," "Get Ready," "Train to Nowhere" and many more as the Edgar Winter Band, Vanilla Fudge, Rare Earth's Peter Rivera and Savoy Brown's Kim Simmonds hit the stage with a night of their greatest hits, plus renditions of Johnny Winter's most famous tunes. The Grove is a challenging space to play in, and seating is uncomfortable since dinner tables are set up so that you end up sitting perpendicular to the stage. Certainly you can move your chair, but if it's a full house, it is hard to maneuver so that you are not blocking people.Shawn Colvin & Steve Earle: Songs & Stories, Together On Stage info • Jul 14 2014 star this tip starred

i am a big fan of Margaret Cho and have been following her all over the place... comparing this event to the other ones, it felt alittle short for me.... i know that she is extermely busy with other things and that may have contributed to this show being just OK..... i do love her still and would definitely see her again....

I do not mind a little foul mouth...but Cho was AWFUL on the related themes of bathroom humor, sex in all forms, gay and lesbian - but without really being very witty or funny or related to current events...she IS outrageous if that is what you...continued
Revered for her crass in-your-face style, Margaret Cho burst onto the scene in 1994 and has since become one of the most prolific, critically acclaimed comedians of our time. In 1999, she chronicled her legendary struggles with network executives over her weight and ethnicity into a groundbreaking one-woman show; I’m The One That I Want, praised by Entertainment Weekly as one of the “Great Performances of the Year!”
In her following stand-up concert tours and films Margaret has tackled the axis of evil, homophobia, the joy of bodily functions, and of course, her now world-famous mother.
Margaret Cho’s new show is a healthy mix of new stand-up and live music. In the spirit of Cho’s diverse identity and equally diverse career, Cho Dependent features her burgeoning foray into the realm of comedy music. Cho will be showcasing a few songs from her forthcoming album, Cho Dependent, which features collaborations with Tegan & Sara, Ani DiFranco, Andrew Bird, Jon Brion, Grant Lee Phillips, and more.
Music is a new endeavor for the provocative comedian, who’s built a cult following through tours, concert films and TV specials. Cho’s fifth stand up concert film, _ Beautifu_l, is now available on Showtime and DVD, and Cho also stars in the new dramatic hit TV series, Drop Dead Diva on Lifetime. Cho’s new stand up show, Cho Dependent, features her trademark raunchy, socially relevant and politically-charged comedy, and also offers a unique chance to see her perform a handful of songs from her new comedy music album, Cho Dependent.
