Never saw the TV show but didn't want to pass up some comedy on a Sunday night so close to home, without the usual 2 item minimums of most comedy clubs. Was upgraded from Tier 3 to Tier 1, the VERY FRONT ROW, just a little off center (along with some fellow Goldstar members around me). Was worried about getting picked on, but the guy one either side of me had some gentle comments aimed at each of them. I think some people brought kids and others who were easily offended by the adult material (one comedian was proud of his use of the N-word and C-word), as maybe some thought the material would be family oriented or censored like the TV show. I found the event thoroughly enjoyable and each comedian had their strengths. I especially liked the emcee, as he was very witty and thought provoking. I am guessing he was the 4th finalist as they only had 4 comedians after him. Was glad they had an intermission as the event ran long. Lots of laughs for just a few bucks!Written on Sep 14 2010
