A young artist gets an eyeful -- and then some -- when she returns home to paint a double portrait of her parents in Painting Churches, the Pulitzer-nominated play from Tina Howe (Pride's Crossing). In an addition to the portrait, Mags (the daughter) is on hand to help mom and dad, both Boston Brahmins reduced to living on beans, move from their Beacon Hill home to more modest digs out on Cape Cod. But keeping them still for the portrait -- while moving them on to the next stage of their lives -- reveals a great deal about her parents ... and about herself. Now, after patiently waiting for the rights to finally become available, the Gallery Theatre presents a fresh production of this funny and poignant play. Learn More

It's definitely a family show. My 9 & 12 year old had a blast : ) The audience got to participate by creating sound affects during the play, it was especially fun for the kids. You don't have to sit still or be too quiet at this play.
It was a great performance the actors had lots of energy. The style and set went well with the theme. "Very Enjoyable"
