For more than 25 years, the Anaheim Ballet has gotten the holiday season off to a spectacular start with its production of Tchaikovsky's timeless dance. From towering Christmas trees to menacing mice and more, this version of the quintessential family favorite is always updated to bring fresh thrills to audiences, who can't help but get wrapped up in the magical story of young Clara. She dreams that her new toy nutcracker soldier has come to life, and together they experience a fantastical adventure that leads them through an epic battle with the Mouse King to reach the Sugar Plum Fairy's magical Kingdom of Sweets. The production is accompanied by a live performance from Symphony Irvine. Learn More

I agree with the other reviewer on the very poor seating - single folding chairs on a nearly flat floor made the venue uncomfortable and almost impossible to see the stage over top of the heads of people in front of you. To compensate for poor viewing ability they have hung two large monitor screens on either side of the stage but if I wanted to watch the Nutcracker on a monitor I could have watched it from home. The parking lot was sufficient but be aware that they do charge a $10 parking fee. Stage backdrops were sparse and somewhat amateurish, which detracted from the performance. Overall, I would not recommend this venue for the ballet.
