Known for enduring radio hits like "Why Can't We Be Friends," "Cisco Kid," "Spill the Wine" and "Low Rider," legendary California band War has combined rock, funk, jazz, Latin music, R&B and reggae to sell tens of millions of albums in their more than four-decade career. War's lyrics may often be political in nature, but their music has always retained the laid-back vibe of their Southern California roots. The enduring band has been honored with 17 gold, platinum or multi-platinum awards since its formation in 1969. Renowned for their brilliant, high-energy live shows, the funk-rock legends headline the City National Grove of Anaheim. Learn More

Same impression as the other writers regarding the venue, but worse because the two viewing screens at the side of the stage were not operating during this performance. I'm giving this three stars only because the performers were very good, from what little I could see of them; I spent most of the first act staring at the back of the head of the person in front of me. It was also very annoying that a number of people were getting up during the first act to scout out better seats, then coming back to get their companions who caused further disruptions when they got up. I don't blame them, though. I would recommend seeing a performance at the Grove only if you can get front row seats or are over seven feet tall.
