California and Texas musicians merge in the blues band Golden State-Lone Star Revue. Mark Hummel, Little Charlie Baty and Anson Funderburgh have all known each other for years, and some even played with each other in bands since high school. Hummel plays West Coast harmonica-led blues -- a fusion of classic Chicago blues with rock 'n' roll and jump blues elements -- and has released 17 recordings. Baty is the former leader and guitarist from Little Charlie and the Nightcats, which has recorded 12 albums and toured internationally for over 25 years. And Funderburgh has played guitar on projects for artists like Delbert McClinton, Boz Scaggs, Jimmie & Stevie Ray Vaughan and Ronnie Earl. Learn More

Beamen’s rendition of “My First, My Last, My Everything” in the America’s Got Talent finals demonstrated his stunning range and crossover appeal. Whether he is singing R&B, gospel, or classical, Beamen explains that “each time I open my mouth I think of the South. Mississippi runs deep in my veins."
