Get the general admission. VIP is basically only to get you into the VIP area. If that's worth it to you because you don't want to be around the rest of the drunk rabble then I can understand, but for the price you can have twice as much beer.Oktoberfest at Santa Anita Park info • Sep 29 2014 star this tip starred
Make sure you look at the map before you go. We got lost. Took the Santa Anita exit from the 210, but then couldn't find the entrance to the track and drove a mile past. Weren't sure how to find the parking entrance as it was on the East end of the facilities. Should have gotten off at the next exit.Cal Phil at the Race Track travel • Sep 21 2014 star this tip starred

Tooked my Mom for her 64th bday! First off I liked that it was in the city Arcadia b.c close to home and quietly area. Not too crowded especially it was the first show of the day and location was great conviently located at the santa anita race track parking lot easy to find Parking ($4.00). If your really on a budget i suggest bring small snacks and save your apetitte at the santa anita mall for lunch.
Ticket Booth will Call: They ddnt have the ticket right away but after saying I purchased it at Goldstar they quickly just pulled out an extra ticket and write a party for two.
Seating:First come first serve got there 15mins till show time plenty of seat sat right down the center. no complains
Overall Experience: Perfect for entertainment for the whole family especially for kids. While waiting they really involve the children for small games kids are always entertain. I love kids but also dont enjoy parentts that cant handle their children running around pushing and crying. That WASNT tthe ISSUe none of that here THANk GOD! lol
As for the Adult experience I thought it would have been cheesy or corney but I actually was pleasantly surpise and had fun espeically the acrobats trapez/gymnist break dancers and Stunts(grand finally motorcycles on a metal ball and two riders and also had the youngest rider age 9) I would rate it slightly rate it above average 7.3/10 scale rating(b.c it thing u typically see at a circus performance nothing that you havn't seen before...l for an adult experience and for a first timer kid for ages from-5-12 about an 8.5/10
So I would definately bring my future family to this event and for you couples it a affordable and pleasant date But dont expect it to compare to "circus soleil" performance it a different catagory! but for the price cant beat it! It was fun/entertaining and would be a great event for kids. It is definitely not a 3-ring, however, so keep that in mind because there are a lot of set changes. Also, it is best viewed from the front and if you see an evening performance it gets...continued
The quintessential coupling of traditional acts and modern concepts, a production par excellence, Circus Vargas is sure to be one of the most enjoyable and memorable editions of Circus Vargas to date, an ingenious mélange of unparalleled artistry and comical relief…. a welcome diversion from the everyday doldrums.
The circus features an interactive pre-show 20 minutes prior, hosted by CBS’_ Amazing Race_’s Jon Weiss! Jon Weiss is front and center, welcoming the audience and inviting the children of all ages into center ring to feel what life is like under the Big Top. Join the fun with Jon guides everyone on a crash course in circus skills such as juggling, feather balancing and hula-hooping.
Circus Vargas blends an elegant display of strength, speed, grace and dexterity with an overall ambiance of humor, foolishness, and drollery! Mix in some spotlights, beautiful music, and the intimacy and excitement of the Big Top and you have the magic recipe…Circus Vargas 2011.
