Get the general admission. VIP is basically only to get you into the VIP area. If that's worth it to you because you don't want to be around the rest of the drunk rabble then I can understand, but for the price you can have twice as much beer.Oktoberfest at Santa Anita Park info • Sep 29 2014 star this tip starred
Make sure you look at the map before you go. We got lost. Took the Santa Anita exit from the 210, but then couldn't find the entrance to the track and drove a mile past. Weren't sure how to find the parking entrance as it was on the East end of the facilities. Should have gotten off at the next exit.Cal Phil at the Race Track travel • Sep 21 2014 star this tip starred

This was a ROAR event! Top notch. Everything at this event was first class, from the parking, breakfast, to the open access to the facilities. Wish more of these events were available. Shooting photos was a breeze and the facilities are excellent.

Whether you are a beginner or a professional, historic Santa Anita Park is hosting a one of a kind photography day. Be at Santa Anita Park by 7:30am to register and then shoot at Clocker’s Corner. With the backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains and hundreds of horses working out, it’s the perfect setting. When workouts conclude, breakfast will be served around 10:00am followed by a Q & A with track photographers, trainers and management. Each person will have one of a kind access to the paddock and Winner’s Circle.
