Set against the backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains, gorgeous Santa Anita Park is the perfect setting for an outdoor concert series. Settle in on the lawn or at tables, eat a home-prepared picnic meal or something delicious from the park, and take in a concert under the stars. California Philharmonic has a gorgeous series in store for this summer, including a concert of majestic film scores, a night of Western frontier music, and much more. Come early for pre-concert activities with the family. Or make it a date night and indulge in the gourmet dining and full bar offerings. With a state-of-the-art stage, jumbo video screens, and the masterful music of maestro Victor Vener and the Cal Phil, an evening at Santa Anita Park is must-do summer fun. Learn More
This might be because we arrived after the concert started, but there was no event staff directing us to the parking location. There were signs that read "concert parking" which later turned into signs that read "Cal Phil". $15 parking.Cal Phil at the Race Track travel • Aug 26 2014 star this tip starred

This was a ROAR event! Top notch. Everything at this event was first class, from the parking, breakfast, to the open access to the facilities. Wish more of these events were available. Shooting photos was a breeze and the facilities are excellent.

Whether you are a beginner or a professional, historic Santa Anita Park is hosting a one of a kind photography day. Be at Santa Anita Park by 7:30am to register and then shoot at Clocker’s Corner. With the backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains and hundreds of horses working out, it’s the perfect setting. When workouts conclude, breakfast will be served around 10:00am followed by a Q & A with track photographers, trainers and management. Each person will have one of a kind access to the paddock and Winner’s Circle.
