Married Alive! Pokes Loving Fun at All the Stages of Marriage
- Full Price:
- $39.00 - $43.00
- Our Price:
- $19.50 - $21.50
The Metropolis Performing Arts Centre presents Married Alive!, a hilariously touching musical that follows two couples on their respective journeys. There's newlyweds Erin and Paul, still in the throes of hot, passionate love; and middle-aged Ron and Kathy, who get to share such hotness as bailing their teenager out of jail. The couples' experiences show that marriage, while great, is hard work and fraught with frustrations -- but worth it in the end for those who stick it out and remember why they married in the first place. Written by Sean Grennan with music by Leah Okimoto, Married Alive! travels from Niagara to Viagra with warmth, humor and heart -- as all married couples should. Learn More

Slow at times but very entertaining overall. I read some comments about people finding the show sexually graphic. I disagree completely. There is a few sexual jokes but unless your seriously uptight they are not graphic at all.Written on Feb 03 2012

Venue is great, easy and free parking. We can bring drinks into the theatre! However, the play was rather unprofessional: acting, pacing/timing, staging. The show was not very effective; I actually dozed off for a while. (Also, the show relied way too much on sexual humor. Some is fine, but this was too much and for no artistic purpose.)Written on Feb 13 2012

The actors seemed extremely talented. I felt bad that they were performing to a very sophomoric, moronic, slapstick type of humor. I was expecting a little more sophisticated level such as Second City typically has. The content was just poor except for an occasional laugh and I think the actors could tell by the reaction of the audience.Written on Feb 13 2012

Disappointed-It was not what we expected. Glad we only paid 1/2 price. We've seen the actors in other plays and they were good. They did their best with the content provided-even made some comments to the audience indicating they knew the audience wasn't responding in laughter as they hoped.Written on Feb 10 2012
