One of the nation's top touring stand-up comics, Godfrey is also in high demand as an actor, appearing in the films Zoolander, Original Gangstas and Soul Plane. He has also made multiple appearances on BET's Comic View and VH1, was a cast member on the first season of The It Factor and starred in a major series of commercials for 7Up. Recently, he's filmed an hour-long stand-up special for Comedy Central, begun development on an animated series for FOX, and made appearances on TV's 30 Rock and Louie. Godfrey brings a wide-eyed humor and an arsenal of funny voice characters to the stage as he delves into the important questions in life, such as "what if guido bouncers ran security at the airport?" First time visiting the Improv and really enjoyed my experience. The warm-up guy was pretty funny and Jay Pharoah was really funny - great way to spend a Thursday. One note is that during ticket pick-up, make sure you bring the Goldstar printout. The lady at the ticket window said they need it and it makes ticket pick-up faster.

I thought the intro acts were great! Very funny! Jay's act had ALOT of impersonations. Unfortunately being in my late 40's (okay early 50's) I didn't know most of the people he was impersonating! I think most of them were rappers.
Jay Pharoah is about to begin his second season on SNL. Developing his comedy skills at a young age and training in local comedy clubs, Pharoah has toured the UK, the US, and Montreal, and participated in the sketch comedy series Charlie Murphy’s Crash Comedy. Pharoah previously performed stand-up on BET’s One Mic Stand, and was the star of the 2010 BET Awards short, “The Package.” You will be amazed at his impressions of Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Jay-Z and many more.
