Miraculously retaining its comic timing and timeless wit more than a century later, Jerome K. Jerome's Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog) was originally published as a hilarious novel in 1889. Written as a travelogue, the lively story tells of three young men -- and a devoted terrier named Montmorency (played here by ... well, not a dog) -- on a boating holiday that quickly devolves into a series of absurd misadventures. Directed by Derek Goldman (and featuring D.C. theater favorites Tim Getman, Tom Story, Rob Jansen and Alex Mills), this adaptation brings to life one of the funniest novels of all time in a must-see show. Synetic kicks off its inaugural season in Crystal City with a new, wordless epic – King Arthur. Drawing from a rich pool of centuries-old myths and legends, King Arthur weaves together mystery, magic, heroes and romance in an adaptation that will see the legend reborn in Synetic’s signature mixture of movement, music, combat and drama.
And to make a splashy entrance into Crystal City, Synetic will showcase the company’s fluid movement style on its first-ever water stage!
