Not Synetic's best work, but still interesting and enjoyable. The piece would've flowed better/been more coherent if the subplot had been simplified or trimmed. However, the costumes, makeup, performers and score were very good. Enjoyed the touches of Fellini and Tim Burton. Making 1 of Lear's daughters a gay son was unexpected, but it worked quite well.

went to see King Lear at the Synethics. WOW ! They told the story of King Lear without uttering a word. They did it with dance and physical gesture. Very drammatic effects thru facial expression, lightning, and physical movements. I definitely recommend to see them. Can't wait for their next production.

Synetic continues to wow me with every show. I also saw their wordless production of Dante's Inferno, and thought this was just as good. It is very helpful to arrive early enough to review the synopsis provided in the program - it definitely helps an audience member follow and appreciate what's happening on stage.

Superb production -- one of their best wordless Shakespeares. The setting and costumes appeared very Fellini-like and were excellent. The emotion conveyed without words bowled me over. Lear going mad was such a powerful experience.
