I sort of enjoyed the music as I listened to it but kept hoping for more memorable tunes like those in other Kander and Ebb productions. The singing and dancing of the Spider Woman were startling, but when the show was over, I couldn't figure out the storyline of what a Spider Lady was doing in a prison except for killing prisoners with kisses. I finally concluded that the intended bottom line was that all men could be seduced by other men. I was puzzled by the joyous dancing of Spider and the deceased prisoner after she'd kissed and killed him.

This was one of the best performances I have seen in DC.

I wish I saw it sooner than the last day so I could have seen it multiple times.

I will definitely watch for these performers in other productions. All were outstanding. What more do you want - fantastic choreography and sets, as well as the brilliance of each of the leads. What an afternoon!

The show was fantastic! I especially enjoyed Karma Camp's imaginative choreography, and Natascia Diaz's command of the stage.

More Information About Kiss of the Spider Woman

Description

Kiss of the Spider Woman explores the complex relationship between two men caged together in a Latin American prison. One of them, a gay window dresser, has been imprisoned for allegedly making advances to a young boy. In order to escape the brutality of prison life, he spends his days dreaming of Aurora, a B-movie actress from the 1940s who once played the role of the sinister "Spider Woman." His dreams, however, become more complicated when the warden asks him to spy on his cellmate, a political activist jailed for his involvement in the Argentinian revolution.
