Tale of a Tiger: Storyteller Weaves Tale of Growing Up
Take an unexpected journey deep into the wild with Tale of a Tiger: An Afternoon with Rachel Hynes
. Created and performed by Hynes, this fairytale tells the story of a solitary young girl who, abandoned by her mother and raised by her cold, embittered father, goes out into the forest and becomes a tiger. Trained in both classical and avant-garde theater, Hynes mixes storytelling and physical drama to realize this fantastic journey from childhood to adulthood. Meanwhile, Ethan Foote, a D.C.-based composer and bassist, uses his wide experience across genres as diverse as jazz, folk and pop to create a startlingly original score.
