Lush, vivid, startling chords mark one of Sergei Rachmaninoff's finest contributions to the world of music, his liturgical symphony All-Night Vigil -- also known as Vespers. This 1915 work not only stands as one of Rachmaninoff's most acclaimed compositions, ingeniously integrating traditional Russian chant melodies, but also represents the crowning achievement of the Golden Age of Russian Orthodox sacred choral music. This All-Night Vigil won't literally have you in the concert hall until dawn, but it does promise to take you on a musical journey through truly awe-inspiring choral sounds. Learn More

When the chorale began to sing the first note, we were blown away by the sound of the venue and the beautiful voices of the singers. My wife: "I didn't know people could produce such beautiful sounds." The acoustics in the hall were so good that you could look at one of the singers and pick their voice out. It was a fantastic show that I would very highly recommend. We brought our 5 and 8 year old children and I will give two warnings on that. The show is about 1 hour and 40 minutes with no intermission and there were no other children in the audience. We will definitely be back next year.
