The Gifts of the Magi is a charming and magical musical based on a pair of O. Henry's holiday stories. Set in 1905 New York, a pair of struggling newlyweds make personal sacrifices to purchase presents for one another in the cold and unforgiving city, before realizing that their love and devotion are the true gifts of the season. Also woven into the show is another one of O. Henry's ironic masterpieces, The Cop and the Anthem, in which a cheerful hobo does his best to get arrested so he can spend Christmas in a nice, warm jail cell. All of it is tied together by a newsboy-narrator who adds his own wry musical comments to this charming and spirited holiday show. Learn More
