Bull Durham writer-director Ron Shelton scored a home run with his feature film debut, which was loosely based on his experiences both on and off the field with a minor league baseball team. Ranked as the greatest sports movie of all time by Sports Illustrated, the Kevin Costner feel-good hit now makes its way onto the stage in a thrilling new musical adaptation. Bull Durham tells the story of veteran catcher "Crash" Davis, who's brought to the Durham Bulls minor league team to get hot rod rookie Ebby Calvin "Nuke" LaLoosh ready for the majors. But a love triangle with the sexy Annie Savoy -- the team's self-appointed "high priestess" -- quickly heats up as each character struggles with his own desires and hopes for what the future holds. This song-filled Alliance Theatre production is a blend of comedy, drama and romance that'll leave you cheering from the stands. Learn More

Everything about the performance was of Broadway quality all around. One of the best musicals I have seen and hope to see again. The musical numbers were outstanding, excellent performances by all the cast members. Couldn't believe the quality of their singing. Wonderful play with great music and a very good message. The seats given to us were excellent as well. First Row, left orchestra.
