Instructions are most definitely not included at unBOXed Improv, an interactive spectacle of wacky skits and funny scenarios from the talented performers at Out of Box Theatre. Be ready to throw out suggestions and laugh along as the ensemble takes your ideas and turns them into comedic scenes that are entirely made up on the spot. It's a singular mix of theater and unpredictable hilarity from a company known for its stellar productions of such contemporary classics as Doubt and House of Yes, and it's never the same show twice. We are so lucky to live in walking distance of Emory and attend events like this. There was plenty to love in this production-- some excellent performances. The actor who played Hecate was a particular standout in a small role-- will look for his work elsewhere. Very accessible to a mix of tenth graders and their parents. I have mixed feelings re: the use of technology-- some of it was effective, some aspects were a bit distracting. But compelling and accessible to a wide audience.
