Forget everything you thought you knew about ballet and contemporary dance because MAYhem is here to change it. Atlanta Ballet has put together a production that showcases the power, athleticism and speed of its dancers. The show features the world premiere of Three by Atlanta Ballet Artistic Director John McFall, the world premiere of The Exiled by Choreographer in Residence Helen Pickett, and the return of the futuristic 1st Flash, a 2003 ballet by Finnish choreographer Jorma Elo. Together these dances create a show that's both moving and exhilarating. Learn More

The host who introduced the performance only spoke Spanish and rudely wouldn't allow the white lady who is the center spokesperson the opportunity to translate for us Gringos. I wanted to see the dancers and hear the music as background. The studly mariachis dominated the first half of the program and there were only 3 dances. I was bored by listening only to music and some macho singers. Whenever they announced a number, they only spoke Spanish. This is an English-speaking country and I was insulted and have much less sympathy toward immigration reform. I left at intermission.
