Veteran stage actress and former Olympic gymnast Cathy Rigby will soar among the Fox's famous twinkling ceiling stars and drifting clouds in the title role that's defined her career and earned her a Tony nomination for the show's Broadway run. Take off with Peter Pan and the three Darling children as they fly away from their nursery to the magic and wonder of Neverland, where they encounter the cunning and evil Captain Hook, villainous pirates, a crafty crocodile and a sprightly fairy named Tinker Bell. Audiences of all ages will enjoy the adventure-filled and whimsical ride, not to mention the score that includes such classics as "I Gotta Crow," "Neverland" and "I'm Flying." Speaking of flying, the graceful Rigby has apparently soaked up some of the show's pixie dust. As The New York Times says, "Rigby still carries off the flights, fights and acrobatics that make ... audiences mesmerized."

Good show. My husband was happy with our seats. He prefers an end seat and that's what he had. We went to the last show, which was on a Sunday evening, so it wasn't a sold out show. This allowed us to leave the parking garage a lot easier than going to a show when it's sold out. We made it down to Krispy Kreme before the crowd. :)

It was firt rate; it had the look and feel of a 1950s production, but as my son pointed out, it was still fabulous. Cathy Rigby was outstanding; her athletic prowess shown throughout, but it was her acting and singing ability which were greater than one would expect from a world class athlete. She is now first an actress who can sing even though her energy and athletic ability was still there. Aftewards, she was so gracious and generous with the children for whom she signed autographs and posed for pictures. She was a genuinely kind person and I would love to see her in something other than Peter Pan one day.

Always enjoy visiting the Fox, but viewing the stage from the orchestra is still a problem.
The floor does not have enough rise to it. The Fox was opened as amovie theater where patrons sit and look up at a large screen. When looking horizontally at the stage, the view is easily blocked.

Quotes & Highlights

  • Read the great reviews the show received from Goldstar members in Southern California.
  • "To see [Rigby's] fearless and ebullient flying, newly choreographed by Paul Rubin with even more athletic flips, is to suspect that the role actually functions as a youth elixir ...  [Brent Barrett as Captain Hook] is extremely charming, but children will be too busy cheering for Peter to mourn his fate. Afterward they’ll scramble to gather the fallen pixie dust from the carpet. Adults should consider grabbing a handful for themselves. Maybe it won’t confer eternal youth, but it can’t hurt." --Los Angeles Times
  • "Rigby has mastered the singing, dancing and aerial shenanigans, but has also gotten to the core of the boy who wouldn't grow up."  --Washington Post
