Spring Awakening, the Broadway hit that won eight Tony Awards in 2007, including Best Musical, comes to Atlanta. Based on the Expressionist play that caused a scandal in 19th-century Germany, this bold yet poignant musical, with its acclaimed score by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater, follows a group of teenage friends as they cope with the agonies and ecstasies of discovering sex in all its varieties. First written in 1871, the angst, emotion, desire and romance still ring true today, as illustrated by the pulse-pounding modern rock score and passionate performances.

Seminar: Broadway Hit Comedy From the Creator of Smash

Full Price:
$23.00 - $25.00
Our Price:
$11.50 - $12.50

Broadway hit Seminar takes the stage at Actor's Express. A new comedy by Pulitzer Prize nominee Theresa Rebeck (creator of NBC's Smash), Seminar centers on Leonard, an experienced author with a long and dramatic history. He's hired by four aspiring novelists to conduct an intensive 10-week writing seminar in an Upper West Side apartment. True to Rebeck's rep as the master of quarrelsome comedy, the students get much more for their $5,000 fee than they bargained for. They soon find themselves attending a master class in ruthless and reckless behavior where writing is a blood sport, words are deadly weapons, and sex is just a tool of the trade. Learn More

We enjoyed the play. The actors were great and very professional! Some of the best actors I have seen in a small theatre performance. I will have to agree with other reviewers - we found it difficult to hear/understand all the lyrics because of the loud music. Would love to see again and catch all that we missed.
