OnStage Atlanta closes its 40th Anniversary season with the foot stompin' musical comedy The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Spend a few hours with the ladies of the Chicken Ranch, one of the better pleasure places in Texas, run by Miss Mona Stangley, protected by Sheriff Ed Earl Dodd and frequented by football players, politicians and maybe even a few people you know! Trouble arises when crusading TV personality Melvin P. Thorpe looks to shut down the Ranch forever. The original production of The Best Little Whorehouse opened on Broadway in 1978, running for almost 1,500 performances, winning two Tony Awards and spawning a movie adaptation with Burt Reynolds and Dolly Parton.

This production was absolutely fabulous! The cast was extremely talented. The play, being a comedy,provided us with lots of laughter. The two "streakers" were hilarious and unexpected. Thank you for assisting us with special seating...second row was great. We certainly will buy future tickets from Goldstar. Hopefully you will have some from the Aurora Theater too.
